Executive Director

MIHA is an organization supported by five of the largest hospitals located in the state of Montana. These high profile healthcare institutions utilize Montana Independent Health Alliance as a vehicle to collaborate on cost savings projects. The primary geographical region that Montana Independent Health Alliance serves does include those independent hospitals located in Kalispell, Missoula, Bozeman, Helena and Great Falls.

The Position: This is an executive position requiring an individual who is an impressive, creative, dynamic and innovative leader. The Executive Director will be accountable for all MIHA operations, business & financial management and will report to a Board of Directors comprised of the Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officer of the hospital members. The ideal candidate will have exemplary leadership and team building skills, demonstrated business acumen, and proven facilitation, consensus building, and conflict resolution skills. The candidate should possess strong contract negotiation skills and the ability to transfer best practices knowledge and implementation. Knowledge and direct experience in the development of business process and finance systems, managing and implementing large-scale change management projects, and implementing information technology systems will be regarded highly. The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal, organization and management skills.

It is preferred that the applicants possess a Masters degree in healthcare administration / health related field / business administration in addition to 5 to 10 years experience at a management level. Strong financial background is desired to facilitate cost savings projects. Equivalencies will be considered. Operations management experience in a healthcare / business environment & managing diverse multidisciplinary teams is an asset. The successful candidate will have the choice to reside in the proximity of any of the five hospitals.

This position offers executive level compensation based on experience and is a full-time position.
